Bret Michaels‘ condition is “stable” and the Celebrity Apprentice star has been released from the hospital, his doctors announced during a press conference on Tuesday. Michaels has reportedly been discharged and is expected to make a full recovery from the brain hemmorhage he suffered on April 22.

During a press conference held on Bret Michaels’ condition today, his doctor said the former Poison front man is “talking and he is talking very well. He is mentally aware of what is going on.” Micheals is still, however, “very sick right now” and will need time to return to full health.
“He is improving and I expect he would continue to gradually improve,” Dr. Joseph Zabramski, chief of cerebrovascular surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute said. “It takes about an additional seven to 10 days before his blood will completely resolve and he will really begin to feel like he is on the mend and can resumes all of his activities.”
Bret Michaels is very lucky, Zabramski said at the press conference. “I really expect that he will fortunately make a 100 percent recovery,” Zabramski said. “He’s just one of those lucky people – 10 to 20 percent who make a complete recovery and can resume all of their normal activities.”Â
Michaels does still have some trouble walking and suffers severe back pain. He will continue to be monitored and treated by doctors over the next few months.
